Your cottage is equipped with all of the pots and pans you need to cook at home. But there are also a number of places to go out and have a great meal.

Red Ochre Cafe is on the main road in Ochre Pit Cove.  For days spent relaxing at home, there is also a local take-out (Hogan’s) at Northern Bay Sands, only 5 km from the cottage. They also feature a pub where where you can sit and enjoy your meal.

If you travel further down the shore to Old Perlican, you can grab a coffee and donut from Robin’s Donuts or have a meal at Jungle Jim’s.   Jimmy’s Place in Bay de Verde has take-out food, or you can sit and have a meal at the Open Studio Restaurant in Grates Cove.

Continuing around the loop, you can stop for a meal at Nat & Jane Ann’s General Store.  Brown’s Restaurant in Whiteway specializes in seafood and traditional Newfoundland cuisine.  They also have live local entertainment in the summer.

In Carbonear, you can visit Route 66 Diner & Pub, Don’s Restaurant (buffet open for lunch and supper), Crooked Phil’s Cafe (open from 7 AM to 3 PM), or a variety of fast food restaurants.

In St. John’s, there are a number of restaurants and eateries that focus on local produce and products, and fresh seafood and game.
